Auf Achse

"That was rockin'"

submission: Auf Achse
date: October 25, 2004

My only major problem was that the animation was awkward at times, mostly in the beginning. It was very evident that your skills were improving as the video progressed. The last fight was done really well. Keep it up, I'd like to see more.

That was so damn cool it's not even funny. The song was awesome, and so were those robots. Every design looked great and appealing.

I'm a huge fan of Ill Will Press. Hey, a talking angry squirrel is all ya need.

The animation is getting progressively better with each episode. The movements of Foamy are jerky and quick, but that's perfect. Cause he's a crazy fuckin' squirrel. I love the designs of your secondary characters, too. The indian dude was hilarious.

Voice acting (as always) is brilliant. Especially Foamy.

Keep on making that kool aid.

Dragonball SJ - Opening

"Not bad"

date: September 16, 2004

Well, as a Dragonball fan, this was interesting to watch. I'm glad you used "Head Cha La" as the soundtrack.

My main problem with it was the tracing. There were lots of shots taken directly from scenes like Goku's first Super Saiya-jin transformation and clips from "We Gotta Power." Only difference between that and what you showed was changes in hair color (or in Buu's case, the adding of hair).

I was happy to see a lot of Videl (or at least someone who looks like her), because I'm a huge Videl fan.

You should try animating your own fan fics without tracing scenes from Dragonball Z / GT. I'm not trying to be an ass, I just think it would be cooler that way.

I miss you Daddy

"Great Movie"

submission: I miss you Daddy

One thing I don't understand is when people don't give credit to voice actors. Well in this case it's different. If it's in the best interest of the girl that her name not be given out, then I guess that's the right thing to do. Otherwise, a great performance deserves credit.

One of the best things about this movie was the style. The design of the girl was simple and cute. The facial expressions were faithful to the narration.

As for animation, one of the greatest things was the lip-sync. A lot of people don't understand how hard it is to match lip movement to sound. Then there's a difference between smiling talk and upset talk. Great job with both. There were only a few awkward tweens at the end. What you did was do a slow movement of both the head and the neck. It may have looked better if the head and neck were separated into two layers and the head was the only thing being tweened. Don't get me wrong. The animation was fantastic.

The music played very nicely during the actual cartoon. It was a nice choice for the situation and the character.

Writing wise, you had me. For the longest time I thought you animated actual audio of a girl reading a letter to her deceased father. Great job with the dialogue.

Don't listen to people who say this doesn't belong on Newgrounds. It's an amazing piece of animation and Newgrounds deserves this. Keep up the good work.

Ido Ido Ido

"There ya go."

submission: Ido Ido Ido
date: September 14, 2004

Now was it really that hard to animate the rest of that? The only difference between this and the "incomplete" version is the shot of the red haired dude walking, sitting down, the girl resting her head, and a bunch of words flashing on the screen. Don't submit incomplete work, please.

I got a chance to look at your other work. All I can say is keep at it and you'll get better and better. I'm sure your girlfriend was really flattered when she saw this.

I didn't like this. It's just not my thing. But don't get discouraged, because this just isn't the kind of audience that would tolerate overly cutesy music videos like this.

Ido Ido Ido(unfinished)

"Uhh"

date: September 14, 2004

Hey. That's a real sweet gesture to make a music video for your special someone. However, the ending was a huge waste of time. I'm pretty sure there's some submission rule about incomplete projects. I wouldn't mind as much if you just cut it off on this edition.

Things I liked: The grass, the marble pattern.

The song isn't my thing, but that's more of an opinion sort of topic.

I can't stand looking at 'works in progress.' Maybe my opinion of this will change when the music video gets complete.

Fallen Angel: Teaser

"Can't wait for the real first episode."

date: September 14, 2004

The animation is godly and made me shrivel up. The action is fantastic.

By the end, I thought "wait, I don't know what the hell is going on!" but then I read your comments.

For what it is, it's damn good. I'm sure lots agree with me when I say "I can't wait to find out what this really is."

I Will Beat Pacman!

"Amazing, inspiring song with good cartooning."

date: August 19, 2004

First of all, that was a fucking awesome song. Great lyrics, great music, great screaming.

The animation was very top notch. Great use of tweening and frame-by-frame. The facial expressions were dead on, and the lip syncing was perfect. The only part that was a bit off was the loop of the dude actually playing (bashing) the game. It just looked a bit awkward to me is all. Other than that, everything else rocked my face in.

I wish you put info on the credits on where to get a full-quality version of that song!
